Bicycle Pin-Up Playing Cards. Beautiful and suggestive but strong and independent

A pin-up girl is much more than a beautiful lady with transparencies, heels and stockings with garter belt, it is a symbol of women against social conventions and machismo. Although the first references of the pin-up date from the late nineteenth century, soldiers of the Second World War were those who made them really popular using them as patriotic charm (rather than erotic images).

The original art, the erotic press and the photography transform the pin-up images in a real artistic movement throughout the twentieth century that has given great artists such as Gil Elvgren, Alberto Vargas or Hajime Sorayama.

The pin-up themed playing cards have always been highly valued by collectors and have become desired objects with high prices. Now, Collectable Playing Cards launches a new deck that pays tribute to this movement: Bicycle PIN-UP.

With original designs by the Argentine Alan Vadell, inspired by other classic images, this deck has beautiful illustrations of pinups in funny positions, sometimes humorous, and always suggestive but not explicit at all.

A Bicycle branded deck printed by USPCC and completely customized. It is a pity that they have not used illustrations in all the cards illustrations including numbered because the artwork is really cool and evocative.
