EQUALITY and JUSTICE Playing Cards. A fair relaunch
Only two months ago, Passione Cards launched a set of cards that were intended to be a hallmark of their quality and hard job over the years and for the future. Unfortunately the project didn’t reach the funding goal so along the last few weeks they have made some changes to achieve the success deserved in the EQUALITY and JUSTICE Playing Cards.
For the relaunch, two key changes have been made: a new printer that would allow a better scalability in the production and a lower cost for the backer. With this formula, the campaign has done really well and is almost funded.
The representation of Iustitia, the Roman goddess heiress of the Greek Dice, has traditionally been linked to a woman holding a scale in one hand to symbolize the balance between truth and justice and a sword in the other hand to show the strength of its application. From the 15th century, a blindfold was added to the iconography to indicate that the justice must be impartial. With this inspiration, the artist John Cho and Passione Cards have created these decks.
These decks mark an important moment in the development of Passione Cards. On the one hand it is a set of decks designed for magicians and cardists that incorporate a series of key elements for their manipulation. Created from the refinement with an elegant and elaborate aesthetic, the Equality deck, in green, incorporates an interesting marking system. The Justice deck is its twin in red and shares all the designs with a color change on the back and tuck case.
On the other hand, the court cards have been treated to constitute a standard that will be used later in other productions by Passione. A court reminiscent of the traditional but full of new elements and interesting details.
Clean designs, flat colors and white backgrounds make these cards perfect for any game, cardistry or magic routine.
They decks will be printed by WJPCC who has received good reviews about their quality.
MID CAMPAIGN NEWS: INTEGRITY DECK
Once surpassed the 150% of the funding goal, Passione’s team have decided to surprise their backers with a new deck: INTEGRITY. Although initially it was going to be a new tuck case with the Justice cards inside, Passione wanted to thank the huge support creating a different deck. Therefore, there will be two more editions.
On the one hand, there will be a standard edition of Integrity that will form a trio with Equality and Justice, keeping the design line of the other two and using a different color scheme on the faces, back and tuck case and a different joker.
In addition, a limited edition of 100 decks of Integrity will be printed with a black leather-like case with bronze foiling.
Undoubtedly, the icing on the cake of this campaign that is being a true success.
