Michael Frömmer’s 1616 Silver Bicycle. The half million dollars deck

Alex Willis (Man Made Games), the creator of this deck, brings us a risky and original proposal. He has converted a classic Italian deck from the 17th Century into a Bicycle deck thought for collectors and players: the 1616 Silver Bicycle.

The history of the original deck is very interesting but one of the most shocking things of it is that the deck was sold in 2010 at Christie’s of New York for $554,500 (around 422,000 euros).

You can read the whole story of this deck (and of the original one) in the project website. You can also raise your pledge to see this deck made.

Good luck!

NEXT DECK BY MAN MADE GAMES

Talking to Alex, he has revealed me he is working on another deck, the Bicycle Victorian Adventurers Deck, Based on his favorite classic novels (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Around the World in 80 Days, A Princess of Mars, Tarzan, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde)

Here you have a small sneak peak of some cards/draws

About the Author

I'm Max, a collector and passionate about playing cards. Since 2012 I try to spread this passion to everyone who goes through Max Playing Cards. In my articles I do not just talk about cards, as I try to look for the stories and the human beings behind them.

I would like to complete my collection of Bicycle decks some day, but now I know that is impossible ...
