CLOCKWORK QUACKINGTON Playing Cards. God Save the Ducky!

Stephen W. Brandt (Swabbed Decks) began in early 2019 his original series of Clockwork decks in which high doses of imagination went through the mechanism of a clock to create very animated cards. Now the talented illustrator presents the funniest of his creations so far: CLOCKWORK: QUACKINGTON.

If the previous decks produced under his seal fig. 23 were inspired by the city of New York and the Art-Nouveau from Paris, this edition takes its references from London, picking up the most relevant British historical figures from Queen Elizabeth to Shakespeare. But do not expect to find serious portraits … Stephen and his sense of humor have wanted all those celebrities to be embodied in adorable and yellow ducklings that decorate the cards in each and every corner.

This way the little and cute animals run this work in motion. This is one of the proposals with more different elements in each card that work together in a flip-book animation. Thus, the gears move an endless parade of happy duckies that appear and hide while the queen’s guard dance to the beat.

A fun design, with the quality of the USPCC in a limited print-run of 1000 decks and a campaign that also offers free worldwide shipping.
