EL RECUERDO: MUERTOS ILUMINADOS Playing Cards. The fourth deck of a series full of beauty and tradition

One month ago, Sviatoslav Pashchuk (Agitcom) launched his decks EL RECUERDO. His talent as a designer made this campaign a success in which all stretch goals were unlocked including the three editions offered as stretch goals.

The artist also created a very special fourth edition that wasn’t funded and has been just released in a new campaign: EL RECUERDO: Muertos Iluminados.

This deck brings new designs on faces, back and tuck case although it keeps as reference the tradition and culture of Mexico combining folkloric and historical elements in a very successful way.

Plenty of decoration, the symbolism is quite deep. The artist has used ornaments typical from the old Mexican money and a combination of the orange colors present in the modern banknotes. Golden elements from the Mayan culture (like the calendar) decorate the beautiful and intricate illustrations.

For this deck, a variations inspired by the popular Day of the Dead festival has been created. For this artwork the court card faces are replaced by make-up skulls.

The back is completely new and different and includes the venerated Santa Muerte in a very colorful scheme.

The tuck case will be really luxurious and will include embossing and foil with funding enough. In addition, it will include ultraviolet inks that will reveal mysteries under the appropriate light.

NPCC (Noir Arts) will print this deck and will be able to show their potential not only in the printing quality but in one of their strongest points: the tuck case. Embossing, inner printing, foil, UV inks the deck will become a real work of art.

In addition, if you backed the first campaign, you can get the new deck with a discounted price and and at the same time as the previous ones. A beautiful proposal that you can know better on the project website and raise your pledge.

Good luck!
