A few weeks ago I talked about an interesting and original project that was finally canceled for its improvement and relaunch. Let’s enjoy again THE MUSIC BOX.
Although the essence and structure of the previous campaign remain the same, for this re-launch Classics Playing Cards have halved the funding goal. To do it, they have limited the edition to 1000 decks.
Inspired by a traditional music box, the tuck case has an opening, design and finish similar to a real music box, with a wooden look, a magnetic flap, embossing and gold foil. In addition, and this is the main novelty, when you open the lid, you can listen to a 30 seconds fragment of “Claire de Lune”, the well-known Sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven.
To reinforce the idea, the complex designs in the back frame a mirrored image of a dancing ballerina. The cards have been designed with a dark cherry wood background and an overprint of traditional court cards and redesigned pips on numbered cards following the same intricate designs in box and back decoration.
The deck will be printed by The Expert Playing Card Company. and there will be a numbered golden key in the bottom, a perfect highlight for this original deck.
A beautiful and surprising collector’s item that can be yours if you visit the project website and raise your pledge.
