EL DORADO – MAYA Playing Cards. The legend of gold in ancient civilizations

Emmanuel Valtierra is already well-known in the playing cards small world for his series about ancestral cultures. Following his success, and going on with artwork based on ancient civilizations, he launches the first of a new series: EL DORADO – MAYA.

Inspired by the Mayan culture and symbolism, these new cards leave the colorful aspect of their predecessors towards a more sober ones, which keep the artist’s unmistakable style but with a monochrome design in metallic colors with gold faces and red backs. Characters from ancient codex are depicted in the court cards accompanied by a completely customized set, full of interesting details.

 

 

For the first time, the artist will use Legends (LPCC) to print his decks so we are talking about a limited print run but bigger than the previous ones.If this is funded, the Emmanuel wil launch the second deck of the series: INCA. Find below a preview of the designs.
