Bicycle Day of The Dead Playing Cards. A new interpretation of “El día de los Muertos”

 

This is not the very first design of playing cards dedicated to the day of the dead, but I admit this is quite different from other seen before. It is the last deck produced by  Collectable Playing Cards: Bicycle Day of The Dead.

What stands out most watching at the deck is the strength of the court cards characters. They have been hand painted over a canvas by Tessa Meier, along last year and they are quite impressive and even a bit disturbing.

The cards are colorful and express the Day of the Dead celebration from another point of view, with theatrical poses full of mystery.
