BICYCLE NEBULA Playing Cards. A minimalist and geometric universe

Barry is one of those designers whose main goal is to show his own visions ans stories through the playing cards creation. All of his previous projects have been smoothly funded and fulfilled giving him his own place in crowdfunding. After Sky Descender and Samsara, he offers us his new deck: BICYCLE NEBULA.

Inspired by the Universe, Nebula has a somewhat different style to Barry’s earlier works. This minimalist deck has a much simpler and cleaner design, both on back and faces. This simplicity makes this deck especially interesting for cardistry.

The designs are basically geometric, with custom pips and indices. The back shows circular forms with cold colors and the court cards represent the personifications of planets and other celestial bodies according to the artist’s own interpretation.

Three different editions of the deck will be made. In addition to the Bicycle edition, Barry has created two unbranded decks in pink and blue, with a limited edition of 1000 decks for each color, numbered in the seal. They will be printed by the USPCC on Bee stock, much appreciated by cardists and players for its durability and feel. Only 400 decks of each will be offered in this campaign as they are also being funding simultaneously in a platform for the Chinese market.

Apart from tuck cases and backs, more minimalist, the faces of the pink and blue editions will be slightly different, with less details in court cards and a clean white background.

If you miss them, you will have also the very last opportunity to get the few decks available of the previous campaigns.

If you like it, visit the project website and raise your pledge.

Good luck!

About the Author

I'm Max, a collector and passionate about playing cards. Since 2012 I try to spread this passion to everyone who goes through Max Playing Cards. In my articles I do not just talk about cards, as I try to look for the stories and the human beings behind them.

I would like to complete my collection of Bicycle decks some day, but now I know that is impossible ...
