Steve Ezell is a typophile designer. He was looking for a playing cards design simple and cool, elegant and modern, that fitted with his personal wishes. He couldn’t find it so he decided to create it by his own. At the end of his work, he designed not only one but a series of four minimalist decks. So, he has launched the first one: Bicycle Minimalist Helvetica.
There are not many things to say about this deck. Just having a look to it is enough to catch the creator’s intention and style. The deck represents the essence of the minimalism on playing cards, with redesigned pips, aces, court and numbered cards.
If funded, the deck will be printed by the USPCC under Bicycle brand. Find below a gallery of images. If you like it, visit the project website and raise your pledge.
