Summer and vacations are over in many countries and the return to reality, work, school, routine is inevitable… However, Max Playing Cards is here again to offer you a new installment of decks with quality<\/strong> , elegance<\/strong> and carefully design<\/strong>… three words always linked to a brand: ART OF PLAY<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since the latest news last Christmas<\/a>, Art Of Play has launched many new decks<\/strong> in collaboration with different artists. Here are some examples that may interest you.<\/p>\n

This deck arises from the collaboration of Art Of Play<\/a><\/strong> with the well-known Tom’s Town Distillery<\/a>\u00a0in Kansas City.<\/p>\n

For the illustration<\/strong>, the artist Kevin Cantrell<\/a><\/strong> has taken as reference the aesthetics<\/strong> used by the distillery in their bottled products, with an elegant and linear art deco<\/em> style<\/strong> that will add glamor<\/strong> and luxury<\/strong> to any poker<\/strong> night. The bordered back<\/strong> and white backgrounds<\/strong> also make it perfect for any card magic<\/strong> trick.<\/p>\n

El estuche<\/strong> lleno de relieves<\/strong> y estampados<\/strong> met\u00e1licos<\/strong> dorados<\/strong> sobre el papel negro<\/strong> crea un bello contraste<\/strong> y a\u00f1ade adem\u00e1s un bonito sello personalizado<\/strong> de color rojo. El eslogan de la destiler\u00eda “La gente est\u00e1 sedienta”<\/em> decora el dorso del estuche.<\/p>\n

The tuck case<\/strong>, full of embossing and gold foiling<\/strong>\u00a0 on black stock <\/strong>creates a beautiful contrast <\/strong>\u00a0and also adds a nice red custom seal<\/strong>. The slogan of the company “The people are thirsty”<\/em> decorates the back of the tuck case.<\/p>\n

The name<\/strong> of these decks is a pure contradiction<\/strong>. Their high elaboration and customization<\/strong> make them unique collector’s pieces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Again Art Of Play collaborates with the studio of designer Kevin Cantrell<\/a><\/strong> whose drawings with clean but detailed lines<\/strong> completely betray their creator. These illustrations<\/strong> are inspired<\/strong> by the splendor of the British Victorian era<\/strong> with high birth characters and high graphic ornamentation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tuck cases<\/strong> are a work of goldsmithing<\/strong> with embossing<\/strong> and gold foil<\/strong> inside<\/strong> and outside<\/strong> on black<\/strong> and red<\/strong> stock<\/strong>, the same colors in the backs of the two editions available<\/strong>. There is also a limited Gold edition<\/strong> that was only available to those who purchased a Bespoke Box Set already sold out.<\/p>\n

CARDISTRY-CON 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cardistry-Con<\/a><\/strong> is an annual convention dedicated to the world of cardistry, organized for the first time in 2014 by Dan and Dave<\/strong> and in which competitions, conferences, workshops and many other events are held. The official decks<\/strong> offered to attendees are launched every year. For those who have not had the fortune of being in Portland between July 19 and 21 this year, they can now get them through Art Of Play<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These decks created by the most famous brothers in the world of magic and cardistry, have a retro design<\/strong> and play with geometry<\/strong> to provide colorful effects<\/strong> in their manipulation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The deck has a quite visual asymmetrical white bordered back<\/strong> and the ace of spades has been customized<\/strong>. The rest of the cards have standard faces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The official deck, in green<\/strong>, was made by the USPCC<\/strong> in a limited edition of 5000 units<\/strong> printed with vegetable-based inks<\/strong> and eco-friendly paper<\/strong> obtained from sustainable forests. Only half<\/strong> of them have been offered to be bought online.<\/p>\n

In addition to the green edition, Cartamundi<\/strong> printed a special deck (the CCC Edition<\/a>)<\/strong> in orange<\/strong> and was given to convention attendees. Although it is not for direct sale<\/strong>, if you buy a brick<\/strong> (12) of the green decks, one of the CCC<\/strong> decks will automatically be added<\/strong> to your cart. You can get them at Art Of Play<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
