Sawdust deck by Emmanuel Jose. The Greatest Show on Earth

When you mix a huge talent and papercutting techniques to make transformation playing cards you get incredible decks. That’s the case of Curator and Clipped Wings, the two previous works by Emmanuel Jose. Now, he presents his third creation: SawDust.

Sawdust shares the style of its predecessors and it is inspired by the Circus world. Like the artist made in his previous decks, each card has been created during each week of a year (2013).

The scenes depicted in every card are stunning, with that special charming use of the pips as part of the composition in the transformation decks. The artist has gone beyond the limits of the cards and has created a triptych with the court cards of spades that tells a story that changes when you flip it. Furthermore, both jokers show the same scene from the front and from the back.

You can see the full set of cards  in the uncut image, his website and in the video at the end of this article.

The deck will be printed by the USPCC in in a single print run so you can’t miss it. Visit the project website and raise your pledge.

Good luck!
