TOP ACES OF WWI Playing Cards . The flying heroes of the Second Great War

After successfully funded a deck dedicated to the pilots of the First World War, Jody Eklund (Black Ink Playing Cards) has launched his new project: TOP ACES OF WWII.

In this new deck, the artist pays tribute to the pilots of the Second World War with the use of his well-known illustration technique and with a more elaborate color composition.

With that “retro” touch of engraving style, Jody dedicates this deck to his grandfather, a flying lover, and to all those who risked their lives on the back of one of these metal birds. Some of these historical figures are depicted in the court cards. The numbered cards keep the clean structure of the traditional cards to make them more playable.

As on his previous campaigns, the artist has created two editions: Standard and Limited.

The Standard Edition will have a beautiful case in black paper decorated with a bold embossing and an elegant copper foil. An interesting and originally designed back with the same colors will complete a print run of at least 1000 decks.

The Limited Edition, exclusive for Kickstarter, uses a case with copper foil on a white paper. Card faces will be the same as in the standard edition while the back will be monochrome on a white background. Decks will be made in a limited print run of at least 1000 units.

In addition, as he did previously, the DELUXE edition will be made. This edition will have a very luxurious leather case.

Finally, 500 units of the signature edition will be also available, with both decks inside a special case with a numbered seal and an explanatory booklet. A a stretch goal, the signature set will contain a nice dealer coin.

It will be also possible to get during the campaign the Signature Edition that will contain both decks in a special wooden case with copper stamped foil and red felt lined inside.

Legends Playing Cards Company will print the decks.

The project is already widely funded and close to achieving interesting stretch goals such as the numbered seals in the special cases.
