In 2014 the Texture Series was born to offer those playing cards fans the nicest Bicycle Rider Back decks ever. Now, the Rider Back Texture Series is about to die. The very last of the RIDER BACK Texture Series Playing Cards has been launched: THE MARBLE DECK.
Combining the most popular back, used by players, magicians and fans from around the world, and the most beautiful and realistic textures, the original Metal Deck, the Wood Deck and the Blue Metal deck are already part of the collections of fans from around the planet with more than 15,000 decks produced and around 2300 backers in the three campaigns. The original red metal deck is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT at retailers, available only from some secondary market sellers (for really high prices). The other decks in the series are still available but have been a real success and being limited they will be sold out soon.
Although the respect for the Bicycle brand and the Rider Back has been always extreme, the work along these years has not been easy. It has been necessary sometimes to request specific authorizations to navigate through the restrictive policies by the USPCC in relation to the original design. However, the new policy of the USPCC is even more restrictive prohibiting from 2018 any type of manipulation or change of the Rider Back design.
The MARBLE DECK was approved some months ago by the USPCC’s legal service (with some slight changes) and we planned to launch the project early next year. However, given the new scenario, we have brought forward the launch of the campaign so that, if funded, the contracts will be signed before the end of the year. Thus, if we achieve the funding goal, the Marble Rider Back will be the very last Rider Back deck of the Texture Series and probably the last deck printed by the USPCC with changes on the classic back.
The MARBLE DECK is a reinterpretation of the classic Bicycle RIDER BACK deck using a set of textures to give the cards a real marble aspect. Hundreds of hours have been invested in this design to offer you one of the most amazing Rider Backs in the world.
Every detail has been taken care of to make this deck a realistic marble deck made of the best Bicycle paper stock printed by the United States Playing Card Company. in a limited and once printed edition.
The tuck case will be debossed to increase its realism, will have interior printing and a custom and numbered seal.
As a collector and a magic enthusiast, I have designed the MARBLE DECK as a collectable item but thinking of magicians and card routines. For that reason, it has many features that allow magic tricks with only the deck or combining it with other rider back decks like different reveals on tuck and jokers, a double back gaff card and a subtle one way back with a two ways aspect
