MOIRAI Playing Cards. Your destiny is written and says you will have it in your collection

Feared and respected by Zeus himself, the three Fates (Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos) are represented in many different ways in Greek mythology and also called by other names in several classic mythologies. These deities who embody the Destiny have served as inspiration for MOIRAI Playing Cards.

The creation for this deck arises as a collaboration between two good friends sharing ideas around a lunch. Designed by Steward West (Fanangled) and illustrated by Bob Case, the awesome drawings make use of a great symbolic richness to represent death as the inevitable destiny of man, however powerful he is. Life and death are present in the designs, as an indelible duality. The back shows the living and dead nature, with vines and leaves in an impenetrable dithering.

The court cards, completely redesigned, also represent that disturbing duality in asymmetric poses with bright but elegant colorsSuits have been customized using a French poker style, with large aces and a powerful double-headed eagle in the ace of spades.

Jokers are three, one for each of the Moirai sisters, that will use in the deck their Roman names (Nona, Morta y Decima) and whose appearance will not be the three nasty old women but three beautiful spinners in whose hands our destiny rests.

A tuck case in black and white with the back of the cards and the name of the deck embraced by the majestic and haunting two-headed eagle will be closed with the initials of the three sisters in a custom seal.
