NOUVEAU Playing Cards. The definitive campaign of the UC 2016 Deck

The time has come, and the best predictions are fulfilled for NOUVEAU.

I talked about it a few weeks ago when I announced that it would become the United Cardists 2016 Official Deck. At that time I interviewed its creator, Karin Yan (Bona Fide Playing Cards) and its producer, Mike Ratledge (United Cardists), who gave me details about the next future.

The project is already a reality, and after the first day of campaign, the deck is almost funded, breaking an unpleasant and unjustified curse that haunted it since their creators decided to fund it several months ago.

The deck has suffered small changes, but this retains its original inspiration. On the one hand the inspiration comes from the original Rouen designs for the very first French playing cards before spreading around the world. Those cards depicted historical and mythological characters that have been also represented here. On the other hand, the designing style pays tribute to one of the most amazing artistic movement: Art Nouveau, born in France too and characterized by intricate linear designs and flowing curves based on natural forms.

The deck will be printed in a limited edition by the Expert Playing Card Company using their Master Finish and stretch funding goals include improvements on cards and tuck as well as a second edition of the deck in beautiful reds called Bourgogne.

If you do not want to miss it, rush and go to the project website and raise your pledge. All who have followed this deck from the beginning are happy to know it will finally become a reality.

Good (and deserved) luck!
